Students engage with leading faculty and build intellectual connections within accelerated two-, three-, or six-week Penn Summer High School Programs. Summer High School Programs. Penn Summer Prep Program. Session A: July 4 - July 16, Courses offered on-campus. Non-credit program. Eligibility: Current 9thth grade students. International students welcome. Financial aid for select Philadelphia students. The two-week program offers non-credit, immersive study in disciplines across the sciences, arts, and humanities.

Studio art classes and education for high school students to develop their artistic passions and prepare for college. Skip to main content. PAEP trains teen leaders, parents, and caregivers to build early literacy skill acquisition through the arts for Pre-K-5 children and produces arts residencies in library branches throughout the City of Philadelphia.

The winner of the regional competition advances to the Pennsylvania State Competition in Harrisburg, the winner of the state competition competes in the National competition in Washington, D. PAEP is the regional partner with the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers in the production of the national competition for middle school and high school students.

PAEP works in collaboration with the Philadelphia Writing Project to adjudicate student work and produce the regional award ceremony for gold key awardees. For more information contact PAEP. PAEP offers classes in designing arts integration units and lessons, student assessment, program management, teacher pedagogy, K common core curriculum, arts and humanity standards, classroom management, collaboration, and working with special needs and culturally diverse populations.

Act 48 Credits may be granted through these Professional Development programs. This program is a unique opportunity for southeastern PA teachers to attend cultural events and be granted Act 48 credit.

We provide both in-school and after-school arts-based programming for over 2, students at 25 sites across Philadelphia each year, studying everything from entrepreneurship to environmental stewardship through an artistic lens.
